Vol. 9 No. 2: September 2026
This issue presents five community service reports from places that rarely draw attention: a coastal island, the upriver borderlands of West Kalimantan, isolated post-disaster communities, a local congregation in Samarinda, and the everyday world of adolescents and young adults. A single thread runs through them, how Christian faith does not stop at conviction celebrated in the sanctuary, but takes shape as a presence that is felt, measurable, and sustained within the wider community. Methodologically, all five reflect an important shift in church-based community engagement: from momentary charity toward planned empowerment, ranging from theological reflection on community involvement, the strengthening of a congregation's missionary capacity, and the integration of medical services with psychosocial support, to faith-building models and mentoring modules designed for replication. Together they affirm that clear theological reasoning is precisely what produces better-targeted social intervention. All articles have undergone peer review and editing, and are freely accessible for reading and download.
