CALL FOR PAPERS Convergen Regional CCBT Gathering 2026 “Every Language Matters: Carrying the Word for Generational Restoration”

The Convergen Regional CCBT (Church-Centric Bible Translation) Gathering 2026 invites lecturers, researchers, students, Bible translators, linguists, church leaders, ministers, and practitioners to submit original and unpublished scholarly papers.

The conference provides a multidisciplinary forum for engaging contemporary issues in Bible translation, Church-Centric Bible Translation (CCBT), artificial intelligence and digital technologies, linguistics, theology, mission, and Christian education, with a focus on advancing Christian scholarship and strengthening ministry practice.

Registration and Publication Fee

Registration: FREE
No registration or submission fee is required.

Publication Fee: IDR 350,000

Important Dates

  • 30 September 2026 — Full paper submission deadline

  • 3 October 2026 — First-round review results announced via the OJS system

  • 10 October 2026 — Online presentation via Zoom

  • 25 October 2026 — Revised manuscript submission deadline following reviewer comments

  • November 2026—Proceedings publication

Best Paper Awards

  • 1st Place: IDR 1,000,000

  • 2nd Place: IDR 750,000

  • 3rd Place: IDR 500,000

The awards will be determined by the reviewer panel and editorial board based on the originality, scholarly rigor, relevance, and contribution of the papers to the conference theme.

Manuscript Guidelines

  • Language: Indonesian or English

  • Length: 3,500–5,000 words, including references

  • Abstract: 150–200 words, with 5-6 keywords

  • Template: Authors must use the official article template: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1muZUYCutEhVscdJEa8GMdv_5XR7muRdE/edit

  • Reference style: APA 7th / Turabian

  • File name: CCBT_AuthorTitle (e.g., CCBT_Pasaribu_IllativeSense), in .docx format

  • Blind review: Author identification must be removed from the manuscript file. Author details should be entered separately in the OJS metadata.

  • Similarity and AI disclosure: All manuscripts will be screened for similarity. The use of generative AI in the preparation of the manuscript must be disclosed in a note placed before the reference list.

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously under consideration by another journal, conference, or publication venue.
